Since my flat mate will be moving out soon, I am looking for a flat mate for one room (25 m2) available in my 2 bedroom apartment, starting from January 2026 or later (flexible).

Very close to DKFZ (4 min by bike and 8 minutes by walk) or Heidelberg university
Spacious room, including furniture (bed, table, chair, 2 wardrobes, shelves, mirror)
Big living room, including 3 couches (I do not frequently use it, so its all yours)
Bathroom with a bathtub, toilet, and a washing machine
Well-furnished kitchen, including necessary utensils, air fryer, 4 gas stove/burners, hot air oven, microwave oven, fridge, toaster, etc.
Attached balcony with chairs, table and a barbeque
Bike parking available in front of the gate, and also in the basement
Enough storage space available in basement
The bus stop (21, 24, 31, 32) and Jahnstraße tram stop is very close
Neckarwiese is 1 minutes by walk, a perfect place to hang-out, walk, run, play or barbeque along the river
Café Frisch (1 min) and REWE (3 min) are in walking distance
Friendly and helpful German/English speaking landlord and neighborhood
Rent (warm) : 730 €/month, including electricity, gas, heating, and internet. Two month rent in advance as a security deposit.

I am a PhD student working at DKFZ. I am a quiet person with easy going personality. I stay quite long in the lab so you can enjoy using the apartment alone most of the time. In my free time I enjoy hanging out along the river, playing badminton, and meditation. I enjoy discussions on science, philosophy, psychology and culture.
You as a flat mate:
I prefer living with friendly, flexible, emotionally intelligent and easy going person. I welcome people from all nationalities and religion. I am a non-smoker, but I don’t mind you smoking in your room or common area. You can invite your friends and have parties as long as it is not disturbing the neighborhood.
